Astoria West
Imagine leaving the new and inspired residences of Astoria West and stepping out onto Cove Beach, a sandy inlet on the East River. Sited on approximately two-and-a-half acres of waterfront property, the eight-story development contains 500 luxury rental units and is composed of three buildings that are connected by an expansive green roof.
The exterior was designed to simultaneously exist in harmony with the riverfront, while creating a bold statement. Clad in white and grey brick, metal panels, and stucco, the façade is accentuated by an inlaid grid of double-height windows and three quadruple-height vertical sections. Light-toned interiors make use of wood, concrete, and shades of green, and blue complement its the waterfront setting. Light-filled units offer floor-to-ceiling windows, high ceilings, and some feature private patio or gardens, while the penthouses have their own private rooftop terraces.
The complex features an expansive menu of indoor and outdoor amenities. The building’s lobby, a comfortable space with a library, leads to a large, lushly landscaped courtyard allows tenants to relax and enjoy the greenery. Indoor areas include a fitness center, co-working lounge, and DAGNY, waterfront bar and cafe and eatery with dining-in or grab-and-go service also have direct access to the garden. Additional amenities of a media and billiard room, golf simulator lounge, game and party room, and children’s playroom. The piece de resistance: the rooftop with private dining, lounge seating, and a pool with cabanas, and expansive panoramic views of Manhattan.
