Pantheon Ventures
Marking Vornado Realty Trust’s entry into the West Coast, the 34th and 46th floor of 555 California in San Francisco’s Financial District were refreshed. The 34th floor was customized for international private equity firm Pantheon Ventures. A warm neutral palette with pops of vibrant color reflects the city’s earth-toned Victorian architecture, lush greenery, and the rust-colored Golden Gate Bridge. The design also celebrates sweeping city views framed by the building’s unique zig-zag shape.
Designed millwork elements, such as the pantry island and transition portals that employ chamfer-angled profiles, were inspired by the bay windows commonly used in the city’s architectural fabric. The suites feature an open workspace and enclosed offices with generous pantry, reception, and lounge areas. To resolve each suite's layout, the design team strategically incorporated the angled perimeters by treating each bay as a series of volumes.
